Curriculum

Baginton Fields Academy fosters students' development in their relationships, identity, emotional skills, intellectual, physical, social and overall well-being. Our students enjoy school life and learn in a safe and positive environment. Our students are happy and thrive in school where a sense of community is promoted to all stakeholders. Our staff recognise the importance of cultural capital, inviting students' experiences into the classroom and communicating that all students are valued. Their voice is heard through many approaches, such as Student Council, Student Voice and making choices. Our staff convey high expectations and provide individualised support for all students, promoting the ethos of an "I can do" attitude. By the end of their school life, our students are prepared for adulthood; being well-rounded citizens of Britain in the 21st century.

Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA)

At Baginton Fields we ensure the UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) is embedded throughout our curriculum and across this school. We believe a whole-school approach is important because it puts children's rights at the heart of school policy and practice. The RRSA ensures we create a positive and rights-respecting environment for our young people, fostering improved well-being, behaviour, and academic outcomes. By embedding the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into our school's curriculum, it ensures children's rights are learnt, taught, practised, respected, protected and promoted. As a result, it empowers our young people to understand their rights, respect the rights of others, and become active, responsible citizens.
