Leavers' Destinations

Almost all the students at Baginton Fields School stay full time with us until the end of Year 14. The students’ destinations after Baginton Fields are either college or social care day provision. One student has also recently moved on to a supported internship at the refuse collection department of Warwick University. The majority of students go on to social care day provision, this covers a wide variety of different types of provision, recent examples have included Brandon Farm, Kingshill Nursery, Dignus, Life Path Trust, ‘We Care More’ Centre, Gosford Hub. Some parents / carers receive direct payments from social care for post school provision, in order to organise their own Personal Assistants that accompany the young person to access various facilities in the community. There is also provision available through Adult Education at part time community college facilities. Many of our Group 4 students continue their education after Baginton Fields at local further education colleges. Recently Hereward College has been the most popular but there are various courses available at Hereward College and Coventry College depending on the young person’s academic level, needs and interests.
